Meghalaya CM condemns assault of Naga woman in Delhi

Shillong, Oct 8 (NPN): Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma on Thursday condemned the alleged harassment of a woman from Nagaland and the assault on her friends at a five-star hotel parking lot in Chanakyapuri, New Delhi, and urged the Delhi Police to take strict action.
Taking to social media, the Chief Minister said he was “deeply disturbed” by the report of a woman from Nagaland being harassed and her friends being assaulted in a parking lot.
“These repeated attacks on our people from the North East are shameful and must stop,” the Chief Minister said, and urged Delhi Police to take the strictest action against those involved.
The incident reportedly took place around 3.30 am on October 4 at the parking area of a five-star hotel in Chanakyapuri.
Delhi Police have arrested three accused identified as Divyanshu, Gaurav and Mohit in connection with the alleged harassment of th Naga woman and the assault on her friends .
