Meghalaya MP Ricky dies while playing futsal

Ricky Andrew J Syngkon, Lok Sabha MP from Shillong and leader of the Voice of the People Party (VPP), died on Thursday evening after collapsing while playing futsal in Shillong. Doctors declared him dead around 8:45 pm.
Ricky Syngkon, who represented the Shillong parliamentary constituency in Lok Sabha, was known for his active public engagements and grassroots outreach across the Khasi-Jaintia Hills.
Meanwhile, Meghalaya chief minister Conrad K Sangma expressed shock over Ricky Andrew’s death, describing him as a committed public representative who worked tirelessly for the welfare of people.
