Advisor for Sericulture & Minority Affairs, Imkongmar called upon the party workers to dedicate themselves and work in unity, stating that the merger of NDPP into NPF has further strengthened the regional party in Nagaland. He said the responsibility now lies with party workers to join hands and consolidate the party.
Speaking at the flag hoisting-cum-inauguration of the Treasurer Residence programme of NPF 25 Mongoya A/C Chuchuyimpang Unit, Mokokchung, Imkongmar reminded that party leaders must act as guides and lead in accordance with laid down principles. He emphasised that elected leaders are not “kings” but representatives chosen to serve the people, adding that no member is above the party. He also sought the blessings and guidance of the party to lead the 25 Mongoya constituency and the Nagas in general.
The flag was hoisted by Yimya Jamir, president of 25 Mongoya A/C. Earlier, short speeches were delivered by I. Zulu Imsong, chairman Chuchuyimpang village council; Imtitemshi, vice president NPF Mokokchung division; Yangsumong, advisor 25 Mongoya A/C; Nungsanginba, NPF Central; and Moasangba Jamir, advisor NPF Mokokchung division.
