Minister for RD & SIRD, Metsubo Jamir, on Tuesday shared his vision of transforming the 27 Mokokchung Town Assembly Constituency into one of the most developed in the state, aligning with the vision of chief minister Neiphiu Rio for a developed Nagaland.
He was speaking at the oath-taking programme of the constituency held at the treasurer’s residence, Aongza Ward, Mokokchung.
Around 400 NPF party workers from the constituency took the pledge and oath initiated by Repameren, president of NPF Mokokchung division.
Addressing the gathering, Metsubo Jamir called upon party workers to strengthen the NPF and work with dedication to make the party stronger. The minister also launched the “People’s Highway” project, an initiative of his family to construct footsteps across the constituency. He informed that the project would be implemented in a phased manner, keeping in view the infrastructural needs of the area.
Earlier, Metsubo visited the NPF Mokokchung division office and held a consultative meeting with party workers, where he shared his insights and encouraged them to work collectively for the growth of the party.
