Yimchunger Tribal Council (YTC) along with NGOs of Pungro sub-division celebrated Metumnyo festival at Pungro town on August 8.
According to a DIPR report, ADC Pungro, Abhinav Shivam exhorted the gathering to maintain peace, unity and tranquility for progress and development of its region.
Head DB, Luthong also spoke on the significance of Metumnyo festival.
The programme was chaired by YTC secretary, K. Sirongthong, welcome address was delivered by executive chairman, YTC Makezho while vote of thanks was said by convener local festival committee, V. Shellen.
Meanwhile, the festival was also celebrated at Shamator with S. Keoshu as special guest along with district administration, YTC leaders and various leaders from the NGOs.
The Medümneo festival was organised by Thüneo committee Shamator town.
