MUMBAI, JUN 17 (PTI): Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C) under the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has launched two new portals to strengthen the fight against cybercrime and provide relief to victims. Grievance Redressal Mechanism (GRM) and Money Restoration Module (MRM) are these two new portals.
DCP Bajrang Bansode said GRM portal will help unfreeze bank accounts that have been wrongly frozen, while MRM portal will facilitate the restoration of money lost by victims of cyber fraud.
“These portals will establish direct coordination among the police, banks and the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal. In case of cyber fraud, citizens should immediately contact the national cyber helpline 1930 or lodge a complaint on the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal,” he said. Bansode said the two apps have been launched by MHA to address issues arising from cyber fraud cases and to provide timely relief to affected citizens.
