Renowned singer and Northeast Idol 2015 finalist, Mhasizolie Metsieo, is set to release his debut album “Terhuo Dielie” on November 27 at the Red Cross building. The album, which coincides with his 25th year as a performing artiste, features seven songs in the Tenyidie dialect and will be released alongside two music videos.
Sharing about the project, Metsieo said the album had been shaped by years of personal reflection and life experiences. He explained that several of the songs were written during defining moments in his journey as an artiste and as an individual. According to him, the pieces carry emotional weight, with themes that trace both joyous and difficult phases of his life. He expressed hope that listeners would connect with the sincerity and vulnerability embedded in the compositions.
Metsieo said the title track, “Terhuo Dielie,” portrays a love story in which a message of affection is conveyed incorrectly, resulting in unintended heartbreak. He noted that such experiences were universal and added that he wished the song—and the album as a whole—would resonate across generations. He further stated that his aspiration was for the record to remain timeless, offering listeners something meaningful each time they returned to it.
The album will be released by class-I contractor Peter Kuotsu. Commenting on the forthcoming launch, Kuotsu said Metsieo had long been a local favourite who had performed at various village and state-level events, bringing recognition to his community. He remarked that the debut album was long awaited and expressed enthusiasm for its release. Kuotsu acknowledged that compiling an album was a tedious process but said he believed Metsieo would be able to deliver a body of work that would stand the test of time.
