
Advisor for horticulture & border affairs, Mhathung Yanthan toured 39 Sanis assembly constituency to ascertain on the COVID-19 preparedness, on June 8.
According to DIPR report, while inspecting Sungro PHC, Lakhuti PHC, Sanis CHC and Molian PHC, Mhathung expressed his appreciation to the Sanis Block Task Force (BTF) led by Chairman & ADC Sanis, administration, doctors, health care workers, frontline workers, police, churches, civil societies and all others involved for their service for the safety of the people during the pandemic.
He also informed them that the government was doing its best to provide better healthcare service through various health care centres and urged the churches to create an awareness to do away with the social stigma. Mhathung urged the youth of the state to rise up and meet the challenges to overcome the COVID-19 crisis. He also added that the state has been depending on others for too long and to overcome this deficiency, the state government had constituted a high power steering committee to improve the agriculture production. As agriculture was the mainstay of Nagaland, the state government has also launched various programmes and schemes, and in this regard, he urged the youth to avail the opportunity for self-reliance.
