The Health and Wellness Centre–Sub Centre (HWC-SC) at Middle Khomi, Phek district, underwent an External Quality Assessment on August 25 under the National Quality Assurance Standards (NQAS) programme.
The assessment was conducted by external assessors Dr. Bishwajeet Ramanand and Rijumoni Barman, who evaluated the facility across seven service packages in accordance with NQAS guidelines. The exercise aimed to determine the centre’s readiness for certification and identify areas for quality enhancement.
The assessors were accompanied by Dr. Imnanoktsung Longchar, DGM Kohima, and Vethipralu, SPM, who served as facilitators during the process.
A brief introductory programme was held wherein Community Health Officer (CHO) Zuhuvelu Chizo presented the profile of the health unit.
The welcome address was delivered by Deputy CMO Dr. Chgukhusie, and the session was chaired by District Quality Manager (DQM) Mezunuo.
During the concluding session, the assessors shared their findings and feedback with the participants. The programme was attended by Chief Medical Officer Dr. Chitale Hiese, district officials, village council members, and health staff of Middle Khomi HWC-SC.
