Minister Imna Along visits Global Open University

The Minister of Higher Education & Tourism, Temjen Imna Along accompanied by Additional Secretary, Higher & Technical Education, Sentiyanger Pongen and Joint Secretary Tourism, Imsongmeren, along with the other officials paid a visit to Global Open University, Nagaland located at Sodzulhou-Kozabe Village under Chümoukedima district on Saturday.


A press statement by Global Open University stated that, director and head WIBP special observer group for Nagaland, Dr. Utkarsh Sharma, Vice-Chancellor, TGOUN, Dr. H.N. Dutta, and other senior officials welcomed the minister and apprised him about various programs, developments and activities of the university. The minister also engaged in discussions and shared insights with the officials of the university.


He emphasized on the professional programs which will be globally viable and draw the interest of the students in Nagaland to study locally. He also expressed the need to recruit the indigenous inhabitants of Nagaland in collaboration with the Department of Higher Education.
