One minor boy was reportedly drowned in a fishery pond when a group of friends went for a swimming Tuesday evening.
According to reports, 12 year old L. Bangkan Phom son of Longei Phom of Bhumnyu village under Longleng sadar and presently residing at Muli ward Longleng went out for swimming along with his friends (all minors) when the incident occurred. The deceased a student of St. Joseph’s school Longleng was studying in class V. As soon as the words spread of the boy being drowned, nearby residents rushed to the site and fished out the body.
