Centre is yet officially declare whether or not a new interlocutor would be appointed after R.N. Ravi– government of India representative and Interlocutor for Naga talks, was transferred as Tamil Nadu governor.
It may be mentioned that in 2020, director Intelligence Bureau Arvind Kumar along with special director AK Mishra were directed by the Prime Minister’s Office to get the NSCN (I-M) back on track after talks between NSCN (I-M) and Ravi hit a dead end.
As reported, sources said that though talks between IB officials and NSCN (I-M) were going for over a year now, however, Ravi, as the interlocutor, had declared that all official talks were over with the Naga groups by October 31, 2019.
In this regard, Centre is not likely to appoint another interlocutor, sources added.
