Miss Nagaland 2012, Imlibenla Wati was conferred with the Northeast’s women leaders award at the Northeast Leadership Award on February 28 at Vivanta, Guwahati.
Wati was awarded for being a pioneer in the field of pageantry, for representing North East and India as a whole and the State of Nagaland in particular in the international platform. The awarded was presented by the CMO Asia and World Women’s Congress, a recognition after almost a decade.

Imlibenla Wati began competing in beauty pageants at a young age, she was the runner-up at Miss Mokokchung pageant in 2012. Her first significant success came when she was crowned Miss Nagaland as part of the annual Hornbill Festival in 2012.
