Recently crowned Miss North East 2023, Kenie Ritse and Hikali Achumi, who won subtitle – Miss Beautiful Smile were accorded warm welcome by Beauty and Aesthetics Society of Nagaland (BASN) on their arrival at Dimapur airport on Wednesday.
24-yeard-old, Kenie Ritse was the runners-up of Miss Nagaland 2023 and Hikali Achumi was the reigning Miss Nagaland. Ritse hails from Phek district, who is pursuing her studies from Tetso College. She was also Miss Phek 2022.
Ritse was crowned reigning Miss North East which was held at Saramsa Garden in Gangtok, Sikkim. The event was organized under the banner of North East Beauty Pageant Organization and hosted by Sikkim government.
Sharing her experiences, Ritse claimed that the love and support of Naga people uplifted and encouraged them to deliver the best and the hospitality of the Sikkim made it more to be an enriching experience. She also thanked the North East organization for hosting the event and making them being part of the event.
She reminded that what makes a queen journey memorable is the organization and offered her gratitude to BASN for their support in every possible way.
She mentioned that competing for the crown, there were many obstacles and challenges, but staying positive made them overcome all. She credited God for her success.
For the future plan, she said that she would love to carry on the legacy with honor and respect, working for causes which she thinks was important.
She also mentioned about the cause she has been focusing into, to advocate on mental health awareness. Ritse conveyed a note to stay positive, prioritizing and learning to achieve success in life.
Hikali commented it as a great and wonderful experience and said “we are a small role trying to make vision come into life” and furthermore expressed gratefulness to be part of it.
