Aizawl, Sep 23 (PTI): Mizoram Chief Minister Lalduhoma on Wednesday reviewed the progress of key infrastructure projects, including the Kaladan Multi-Modal Transit Transport Project (KMMTTP), railway expansion and India-Bangladesh border fencing, at the sixth Mizoram Pro-Active Governance and Timely Implementing (Mi-PRAGATI) meeting here, official sources said.
The meeting, held at the CM conference hall, took up follow-up action on decisions made at previous meetings and reviewed the progress of various ongoing development works.
Representatives of the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, who attended the meeting online, were asked to expedite repairs of badly damaged stretches of the KMMTTP within Mizoram and resolve pending compensation-related issues, the sources said.
The meeting also reviewed the 109.2-km Paletwa–Kaletwa–Zochachhuah road project under the Ministry of External Affairs, which has recorded 23.35 per cent physical and 30 per cent financial progress.
Railways authorities briefed the meeting on progress towards the proposed railway line from Sairang to Hmawngbuchhuah in south Mizoram’s Lawngtlai and ongoing improvement works at Sairang railway station.
The meeting also reviewed the India-Bangladesh border fencing-cum-road project, particularly the Rajiv Nagar segment, the sources said. Ministry of Home Affairs officials participating online outlined the progress, while the need for urgent repairs of severely damaged roads and resolution of other project-related difficulties was raised, it said.
The meeting further reviewed the State Cyber Crime Coordination Centre’s initiatives on cybercrime and digital arrest cases and pending issues arising from Aizawl-Tuipang National Highway works.
A follow-up plan was formulated, with progress to be reviewed at subsequent Mi-PRAGATI meetings, the sources said.
