DIMAPUR, AUG 4 (NPN)

Members of Legislative Assembly—Kevipodi Sophie (14 Southern Angami-I) and Dr. Tseilhoutuo Rhutso (9 Kohima Town A/C), along with deputy commissioner (DC) Kohima, B. Henok Buchem, additional SP Kohima, Soriso Quinker and other government officials, visited the severely damaged stretch of road near BSF camp in Kohima on Monday.
According to a DIPR report, the inspection was prompted as the road stretch has become nearly unmotorable due to the constant movement of heavy vehicles. The visiting team assessed the situation on the ground and held a discussion on urgent measures to restore the road.
Officials assured that immediate steps would be taken to make the road motorable and ensure safe passage for daily commuters. The report stated that authorities were also exploring long-term solutions to prevent further deterioration.
