Mount Mary College (MMC) department of political science organised student’s parliament on August 17 and its 6th fresher’s day on August 18.
According to a release by Mount Mary College, the participating students’ were divided into two parties who deliberated on the agenda, adhaar card and whether adhaar card should be made mandatory for all official purposes or not.
During the parliament the ruling party and opposition MPs heatedly debated on the Bill and was put out for voice vote by the speaker to which the house as a whole participated and voted against the Bill.
Mount Mary College also celebrated its 6th fresher’s day on August 18 with Extra assistant commissioner, Chumukedima, Thejavizo Nakhro, as the chief guest.
Meanwhile, Chingba and Esther were crowned as Mr. & Miss. Fresher’s of Mount Mary College respectively.
