Mmhonlumo Kikon bereaved

Wife of BJP legislator, Mmhonlumo Kikon, Penmi Phazang Kikon passed away on Sunday after a brief illness at around 6 p.m, at Zion hospital. She was 35 and leaves behind her husband and two daughters. The funeral will be held on January 29, 2 p.m. at Kikon’s private residence, Padum Pukhuri Village (V) towards Toluvi Village. Various political parties and leaders have condoled late Penmi’s death.
CM: Nagaland chief minister, T.R. Zeliang expressed deep shock and pain over the demise of Penmi Phazang. Quoting Isaiah 57:1-2, Zeliang said: “The righteous perish, and no one takes it to heart; the devout are taken away, and no one understands that the righteous are taken away to be spared from evil. Those who walk uprightly enter into peace; they find rest as they lie in death.”
Zelaing extended his sincere condolences and prayed that the Almighty God grant peace and solace to the bereaved family members, and the departed soul, eternal peace.
Rio: In a condolence message, Neiphiu Rio expressed shocked to hear of the sudden demise of Penmi Phazang Kikon.
Recalling the interactions with late Penmi at official and family occasions, Rio said he found her to be a supportive wife to her husband and a loving mother to their adorable children. She was a priceless asset to Mhonlumo Kikon, a young, rising and dynamic leader in Naga society, he added. Rio said late Penmi also carried much of Kikon’s burden and shared their common public responsibilities in a humane and understanding manner.
He said late Penmi handled her tasks and all dynamics of assignments in an impeccable, caring and graceful manner. She will be greatly missed by all her loved ones, well wishers and the people especially those belonging to their constituency and district, Rio said.
Rio, joined by his family, conveyed deepest condolences to Mhonlumo and all members of the bereaved family and prayed to Almighty God to grant strength and courage during this time of grief and for the departed soul to rest in eternal peace.
State BJP: State BJP unit president, Visasolie Lhoungu, party officials and supporters have expressed deep shock and grief over the untimely demise of Penmi Kikon.  In a condolence message, on behalf of the party, BJP unit general secretary, Jaangsillung Gonmei said late Penmi had been a source of support and strength for the party’s leader. Her demise will also be an irreparable loss for the party, he said. The party unit prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace and to grant strength to the bereaved family.
NPP: National People’s Party (NPP) Nagaland unit has also expressed shock by the untimely demise of Penmi Kikon.
NPP Nagaland unit president, Ato Yepthomi on behalf of the party prayed that almighty grant solace to the family members during the time of grief and prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace.
RALH: Ralan Area Lotha Hoho (RALH) expressed deep pain by the untimely demise of Penmi Kikon.
In a condolence note, RALH general secretary, C.S. Ovung said the hoho expressed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family members and prayed that Almighty God grant her soul to rest in peace.
RASU: Ralan Area Student’s Union (RASU) has conveyed its “deep pain” at the sudden demise of Penmi kikon. The condolence note from RASU president, Nchmthung said that the union extends its heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and offered prayers for her soul to rest in peace.
