Speaking at the inauguration programme, Longkumer expressed happiness in fulfilling his commitment to the people of the area by constructing the road. He said the project could be materialized after he approached chief minister Dr. Neiphiu Rio, who sanctioned the road work under the SRDP.
He therefore extended gratitude to chief minister for his support and acknowledged the PWD (R&B) department and the engineering team for their efficient execution of the project.
Longkumer also appreciated the cooperation of the villagers, noting that the road had been a long-pending need of the village, and would now pave way for economic progress and development.
