
The premiere festival of the Ao tribe, ‘Moatsu Festival’ was also celebrated in Molungkimong village, organised by the Molungkimong Mejensanger Putu, Friday, at the village local ground with director, NEZCC Lipokmar Tzudir as the chief guest.
Tzudir in his speech said: “Molung was very fortunate to be the birth place of Christianity for Nagaland”. Reminding the gathering that the world has changed drastically, Tzudir said people were breaking boundaries to build friendship, through the revival of old traditions and customs.
He said NEZCC was willing to extend its support to those willing to upkeep the values of traditions and customs for the future generation.
Moreover, Lipokmar called on the people to bear the true Christian ethics of peace and love, with humility, with the hope that peace and harmony prevails between Molungkimong and Molungyimsen.
Highlights of the programme include presentation by Watsu Telen, Chungtia Cultural Cub, Dimapur, Pongma Zunga tanabuba zunga 2, 8 and 9.
The function was chaired by Akum-o Tzudir and invocation prayer by R Ali, Pastor, MBC and benediction by Temsu Nokdir, secretary MBC. Welcome address was delivered by T Lima, Village council Chairman, Molungkimong.
