Moatsü greetings

Nagaland governor RN Ravi has extended Moatsü greetings to all the people of Nagaland and to the members of Ao community in particular.

In his message, Ravi said that an important teaching by the older men to the youth during the festival was to be bold and heroic to defend and protect the community from enemies. However, he said that in these difficult times the most valiant act a person could do was “to simply maintain ‘social distancing’ and adhere to the government guidelines.” Ravi wished a very happy, meaningful and blessed Moatsü celebration as people celebrate the festival at home with prayers.

CM: Extending Moatsü greetings to the Ao community, chief minister Neiphiu Rio wished them happiness and good health to the community members. He prayed that the “Almighty’s protection continue to be upon us so that we will be able to celebrate our rich cultural heritage, as a community, in the near future.”

Dy CM: State deputy chief minister, Y Patton, also conveyed Moatsü greetings to the Aos and said that this year the festival would be celebrated under different circumstances due to the ongoing COVID-19 restrictions.

He, however, said that it should not dampen the spirit of festivity as it could be celebrated meaningfully at their respective homes.

Patton, on behalf of the state BJP legislators, wished peace, prosperity and goodwill to the people.
