Model Christian College hosts Inter-Collegiate Talent Hunt ‘Phoenix 2025’

Model Christian College, Kohima, hosted its 5th Inter-Collegiate Talent Hunt, Phoenix 2025, at the College Auditorium of on August 30. The event was conducted under the vibrant and dynamic theme, “Eclectic Effervescent Effulgent,” celebrating the diverse and creative talents of students across the region.

The talent hunt featured 11 colleges, each presenting a range of performances that showcased the immense potential and enthusiasm of the participants. The competition was judged by an esteemed panel, which included Akehoto Yeptho, a renowned dance choreographer at Elemenz Crew; Noune Kuotsu, a conductor and musician, as well as the administrator of Hallel Music Centre in Jakhama; and Ayim Longchar, an accomplished artist and songwriter.
The event culminated in the announcement of the winners, with Senjanbeni Ngullie from Model Christian College clinching the first position, earning a cash prize of ₹15,000. The second position went to The Aura Band from Kohima Science College, Jotsoma, who were awarded ₹10,000, while the third place was secured by The Majestic Group from St. Joseph College, Jakhama, winning a cash prize of ₹5,000. In addition, several consolation prizes were presented to participants from Model Christian College, Japfü Christian College, Kros College, Sazolie College, and Oriental College in recognition of their outstanding performances.
Earlier, the welcome address was delivered by administrator of Model Christian College, Albert Arücho and invocation by president of MCCEU, Zashebonu Savi. A duet performance by Vimugha Yeptho and Swuduvelu Kezo. The moderators of the day were Suirak R Sagongdui and Linoka K Achumi. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by assistant professor, department of geology, Dr. Pemmaya Kasomva.
