Modern College organises study tour to Kolkata

DIMAPUR: Department of Economics, Modern College organised an educational study tour to Kolkata from June 4 to 8 under the theme “Explore, Learn, Experience, Grow.” The initiative aimed to enhance students’ practical understanding of economic concepts beyond the classroom.
The tour comprised nine students accompanied by three faculty members, ensuring effective guidance and coordination. The primary objective was to expose students to real world economic activities, institutions and cultural diversity, thereby bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application.
During the visit, participants explored several prominent destinations including the RBI Museum, Science City, Victoria Memorial and Nicco Park, which provided valuable insights into India’s economic history, scientific advancements, cultural heritage and urban development.
The study tour proved to be an enriching experience, broadening students’ perspectives and contributing significantly to their academic and personal growth.
