Modern College, Piphema organized an Autumn Fiesta 2023 at its Campus at Piphema, on Saturday. With event sponsors Lerinah Motors, Punjab and Sind Bank and Shankar Lal, a business man and event partners, D/Café, Fifa Café and 7thAssam Riffles Gaspani. The fiesta comprised of College Fete, Cosplay Campus and DJ Evening.
The Autumn Fiesta was kicked off with a formal inaugural program where college principal, Dr. Vitsou Yanom delivered a welcome speech and Modern Society of Education, chairperson A. Kaisa, announced the opening of the event. The Cosplay Campus which was organized in collaboration with the Nagaland Anime Junkies (NAJ) also featured a Cosplay competition where Shiro from Baptist College was adjudged the winner and Ayim Wallim of Modern College bagged the 2nd prize.
The winners were awarded with a cash prize of Rs. 7000/- for the first, Rs. 5000/- for the second and six consolation prizes of gift hampers for six other participants. The fiesta concluded with the DJ Evening featuring DJ Rhon. The programme was attended by management, administration, students, teachers, alumni, students and youths from neighboring villages, village leaders and well-wishers. Altogether 21 teams registered for food and merchandise stalls besides various entertaining games.
