Mokokchung DPDB discusses on drugs and other related issues

Mokokchung District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) meeting was held on September 19 under the chairmanship of advisor of Water Resources, Tongpang Ozukum.


A DIPR report informed that at the meeting, the chairman informed the members to be aware of the rise in substance abuse in the state which has become a serious social concern for everyone. The board also reviewed the minutes of the last DPDB meeting regarding hosting of civic reception for chief minister and shifting of NST office to ISBT Yimyu.


As proposed during the last DPDB meeting, PowerPoint presentations on Departmental activities were shared by the Chief Medical Officer and District Agriculture Officer respectively, and a discussion on some of the issues of the departments were taken up by the members led by the chairman. The board has also decided to put forward the proposal for designation of Mokokchung Law College as Govt. aided college, application for change of nomenclature of Mangkusong Govt. Primary School Ungma to Sademmeren Govt. Primary School, Ungma, application to registration of new societies, Sungratsu Army Association, Sungratsu Village, Likum Welfare Society, Salangtem Ward, Mokokchung, Application for recognition of Moria Mission Jubilee School Longsa. Department of Road & Bridges (PWD) and Fisheries have been entrusted to present PowerPoint presentation in the next DPDB meeting.
