Mokokchung Municipal Council in collaboration with Adventure and Motorsports Association Mokokchung (AMAM) and Mokokchung District Musicians’ Association (MDMA) will be organizing a “Christmas Night Carnival” from December 20 to 22 in Mokokchung Town with the support of All Ward Unions of Mokokchung and Mokokchung Chamber of Commerce and Industries.
Addressing a press conference here today at his office chambers, ADC and MMC administrator, Manphai Phom, along with representatives of AMAM and MDMA said that the Night Carnival will be held under strict guidelines and will include food stalls, fun games, music booth, photo booth etc. However, use of liquor and other illegal substances will not be allowed in any of the stalls. The carnival will be held from Town Square (Police Point) to Rotary Point from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Phom also added that the MMC has also entrusted AMAM and MDMA to organize the midnight service (New Year’s eve) program, which is a tradition for Mokokchung Town.
