Mokokchung Police on March 2, while conducting checking at National Highway, Chuchuyimpang Village, recovered a huge consignments of IMFL from a truck (Ashok Leyland- AS26AC-1466), proceeding towards Mokokchung.
According to Addl SP and PRO, 790 cases of MC Rum was seized and three persons- driver, handyman and owner of the consignment were arrested. They were identified as namely Lensekhea (25) son of Shüiven V/o-Waphur P/A- Mongsenbai Ward Mokokchung, Utpal Das (31) son of Prahlad Das V/O Gondhmow No-1 P/O Gondhmow P/A- Sualkuchi Kamrup Assam, Jaychandra Hazarika (33) son of late Jugen Hazarika V/O Mokrung Tea Estate P/A- Mokrung Tea estate Assam.
Accordingly, complaint against the three accused person U/S – 44 (e) NLTP Act was forwarded to the court for transporting the banned IMFL to Mokokchung Town.
