Mokokchung Times launched in Mkg

Mokokchung-based English newsdaily– Mokokchung Times was launched on Friday at Ongpangkong Salang, Arkong ward
Speaking at the launch, Mokokchung Press Club secretary Sashimeren Jamir congratulated the editor and the team for creating history by publishing the first “hyperlocal english daily”.
He said that the paper will be a boon for Nagas in general and for Mokokchung district in particular.
He encouraged the team to work towards changing the mindset of the people through the paper.
Limalenden Longkumer, editor of Mokokchung Times, while giving an overview and introduction of the paper said that there has always been the need for an english daily in Mokokchung town and assured that the newspaper would uphold the spirit of ethical journalism.
He stated that with a big vision, Mokokchung Times will strive to be the voice of the
people of Mokokchung and to stand for truth.
Meanwhile, the dedicatory prayer was pronounced by Rev. Ponen Longchar, Pastor, Mokokchung Town Baptist Church.
