Mon DPDB deliberates various issues

District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) Mon meeting for the month of April was held on April 30 at DC’s conference hall Mon under the chairmanship of advisor Fire & Emergency Services, SIRD, Relief & Rehabilitation and chairman DPDB Mon, P. Pohwang.
According to a DIPR report, Pohwang, said that the government was committed to provide timely service delivery to citizens and requested all members to be regular and be at station. 
The board discussed issues relating to non-release of the second phase payment under LADP in nine constituencies under Mon district. The house also resolved to release payments for the works which were completed and verified by the committee.
Extension of Longkhoho School Tangnyu, registration for Highland Meadow Society Aboi and creation of Border Magistrate at ITC Longwa were recommended at the meeting.
DC Mon, Thavaseelan K, who is also the vice chairman of DPDB, urged the members to cooperate towards successful conduct for the forth coming Lok Sabha by-election.
Presentations were shown by EE PWD (R&B) Mon division, Er. G. Vikhepu Yeptho, on departmental activities under Mon during 2017-18 and DWO, Z. Murie, on various activities and schemes implemented by social welfare department in Mon district.
