Mon District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) meeting was held at DC conference hall Mon under the chairmanship of advisor Fire & Emergency Services, SIRD, Relief & Rehabilitation and chairman DPDB, Mon, Pohwang Konyak on December 11.According to DIPR report, during the meeting, following agenda were discussed which was approved and recommended by the board. Change of nomenclature from Edith Douglas School to Eyong Memorial School, Mon; change of nomenclature from Paramount High School to Nyeiwang Memorial School, Aboi; and creation of Wakching Town Council and Chen Town Council. Power point presentation on departmental activities were given by principal, Wangkhao Government College, Mon and District Hospital Mon respectively. The meeting was chaired by deputy commissioner, Mon, Thavaseelan K. Advisor, Noke Konyak, MLA, Eshak Konyak and all the head of the offices under Mon district attended the meeting.
