With the annual Hornbill Festival slated to be held from December 1-10, a team of legislators from Mon district led by Health and Family Welfare (H&FW) minister, P. Paiwang Konyak, inspected The Naga Heritage Village, Kisama on November 16.
Konyak Union Kohima (KUK) members, who were at the site (Konyak Morung), briefed the legislators on the present status of the Konyak Morung and the need to beautify it .
Following the inspection, the Mon legislators observed that the community’s Morung required maximum renovation including toilets.
Besides the requirement placed by the KUK, the legislators also assured extending all possible help and cooperation towards the success of the festival.
Besides the Medical Minister, those who inspected the Morung included advisor DUDA, W Chingang Konyak, A. Nyamnyei Konyak(MLA), Y. Mankhao Konyak (MLA), and C. Manpon Konyak (MLA).
