Mon, Peren hold Viksit Nagaland @2047 consultations

District consultation workshops on Viksit Nagaland @2047 were held in Mon and Peren on April 20, organised by the government of Nagaland and respective district administrations.
According to DIPR report, at Mon, the programme was held at the DC’s Conference Hall with heads of offices and stakeholders. Moderators from the Nagaland Institute of Transformation under the Planning & Transformation Department—Nyanthung Y. Humtsoe, Badikol Varsha Prabhakar and Shweta Yayant Shinde—facilitated the discussions. Five thematic groups were constituted on economic development, social development, environmental sustainability, infrastructure development, and governance and institutional strengthening. Each group deliberated on challenges and strategies.
Welcoming the participants, Additional Deputy Commissioner Mon, Pakon Phom, said Viksit Bharat 2047 envisions transforming India into a developed and prosperous nation by 2047, marking 100 years of independence. He urged members to actively contribute towards the vision. EAC Kedoseno Rino delivered the vote of thanks.
In Peren, the consultation workshop was held at the DC’s Conference Hall with Deputy Commissioner Hiazu Meru welcoming stakeholders. He described Viksit Bharat 2047 as the Government of India’s ambitious vision to transform the country into a self-reliant and developed nation by 2047. He said the initiative also reflects aspirations for Nagaland to be recognised as a developed state.
Participants were divided into five thematic groups to deliberate on strategies prioritising the growth of marginalised and remote populations. Each group presented summaries of their inputs and recommendations. A PowerPoint presentation was also made by district line departments on the five pillars—economic, social, environment, infrastructure and governance.
