State Non-Communicable Disease (NCD) cell with technical support from Tata Trust conducted a “monitoring and supervision-cum-training on NCD-GOI App” in the conference hall of the chief medical officer (CMO) Longleng, on September 30.
A press release from the CMO office informed that while delivering the welcome note, CMO Dr. Obangjungla thanked the members from the state NCD team for conducting the training.
She encouraged all the healthcare workers present in the training to be attentive as they would be masters in their own health units.
The training was organised to review implementation progress of NCD cells, NCD clinics, and roll out of population-based screening, to list out all individuals from 30 years and above for hypertension, diabetes, oral cancer, breast and cervical cancer etc.
The state NCD team also provided hands on training and assistance in tablet usage for uploading data on non-communicable disease enrollment and screening.
Reorientation on PBS (CBAC & family folder) was also given to district community mobiliser, and block ASHA Coordinators.
The training was attended by CHOs, nurses, NCD cell district hospital Longleng and ANMs from health units under Longleng district.
The state NCD Team was led by Dr. Mereninla Senlem, SPO (NPCDCS), Dr. Ebenezer Phesao MO (NCD), Vitsiatho, Consultant Tata Trust, Tongpang Matsung, programme manager NCD, Abeni Yanthan, programme coordinator NCD, Wabang FWA and Theja DEO.
