Monsoon preparedness meeting in Shamator

A coordination meeting on monsoon preparedness for Shamator District was held on May 23 at the Deputy Commissioner’s Office, under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Chubatemjen.
The meeting was attended by representatives from various government departments, Heads of Departments (HoDs), Dobashis (DBs), and ward presidents from across the district.
The President of the Shamator Town Public Forum emphasized the need for a coordinated and timely response to any eventualities during the monsoon season.
Key issues discussed included resource assessment, formulation of action plans, and prioritization of essential tasks such as maintenance of emergency roads, clearance of clogged drainage systems, and ensuring availability of medical aid and food supplies.
The preparedness committee committed to taking proactive measures before, during, and after the monsoon to mitigate risks and ensure public safety.
