MoRD official inspects DDU-GKY projects

Mission manager (state partnership) Ministry of Rural Development (MoRD) and SPOC for Nagaland state, Dhriti Bania visited Nagaland from April 23 to 25 and reviewed the ongoing projects under Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY) -1.0, review of Projects under closure and readiness for implementation of DDU-GKY 2.0.

She also visited training centers of the ongoing DDU GKY and RSETI training batches.
During his visit to two training centers in Dimapur, Bania interacted with the trainees where she encouraged the candidates to ensure completion of training and take up job placement for self-reliance.


Similarly, during the visit to Rural Self Employment Training Center (RSETI) Peren, the official lauded the trainees for their enthusiasm for self-employment and assured to provide all necessary support to set up more RSETIs in the state.


Bania also conducted a review meeting with the State Mission Management Unit led by Imtimenla, the State Mission Director and Addl Secretary RD and her team in the presence of Mission Director designate Moatemsu Sangtam and CTSA NABCONS official Raja Mithelesh Kumar.


Moatemsu presented the status of implementation of DDU-GKY 1.0 including the status of projects under closure and the State’s plan and readiness for implementation of DDU-GKY 2.0.


It was informed that 8237 rural youths have been trained and 5332 have been successfully given job placements across the country and abroad. During the meeting, Bania urged the state to float EOI under DDUGKY 2.0 on priority, ensuring completion of training and appointments for placement target before end of the financial year.


She lauded the achievements of the state for being amongst the top performing states with regard to achievement of training and placement target.
