
In view of the detection of COVID-19 positive cases, the deputy commissioner (DC) Kohima, Gregory Thejawelie, has ordered demarcated several locations in Kohima as “sealed area” in order to contain the spread of the disease/infection and for necessary contact tracing.
The sealed areas include two locations at Old Minister’s Hill (Ward No. 14), New Minister’s Hill (Ward No. 16), two locations at Lerie Chazou Colony (Ward No. 16), Upper Agri (Ward No. 17), Lower Agri (Ward No. 18), Middle PWD (Ward No. 11), two locations at Phezoucha Colony, Upper Chandmari (Ward No. 12), Daklane (Ward No.7), Kenouzou (Ward No. 3) and Meriema Village.
Meanwhile, in addition to July 29, 2020 notification, DC has demarcated Middle PWD (Ward No. 11) and Phezoucha Colony (Second Assembly Quarter 1 number) as sealed area.
DC notified that all movement of person/vehicles within the defined sealed area was strictly restricted/prohibited and underactive medical surveillance with immediate effect.
