More organizations flay May 23 incident

The Angami community of Unity village and the Chang community of Unity Village have strongly condemned the incident that took place on May 25 at Unity village.
In a statement issued by the chairman of the Angami Community, Unity Village, the Angami community of Unity Village has expressed deep shock and concern over the disturbing incident that occurred on May 25, which has unsettled the otherwise peaceful residents of the village.
The community strongly condemned the act, stating that it posed a serious threat to the safety and well-being of innocent villagers. The incident, the nature of which has caused widespread distress, is seen as an affront to the peaceful coexistence long upheld by the people of Unity Village.
The Angami community expressed hope that the law enforcement authorities will take impartial action and ensure justice is served.
The Chang community expressed shock and outrage at NSCN (Khango) vice president Khekato Kinny for forcefully entering Mughato Chophy’s residence and subjecting him to a point-blank shooting with clear intent to murder, without any justification.
In a press release, The Chang community stated that it is deeply saddened by the inhuman act at the residence of finance secretary of NSCN/GPRN (Reformation), Mughato Chophy, which occurred on May 23.
The Chang community further stated that serious action should be taken against Khekato Kinny, asserting that such acts shall not be accepted in the village. The community emphasized the need to uphold standards of behavior that ensure the safety, dignity, and well-being of every person within the village. They expressed trust that the concerned authority will take necessary steps to address the injustice and restore peace and security in the affected area. It also stated that the Chang community stands firm in support of the Unity Village Council Resolution passed on May 25, 2025.
