SBAK, SBC: Sumi Baptist Churches Association (SBAK Aizuto) has expressed deep pain at the demise of Rev. Aheto Sema at CMC Vellore on April 24. A condolence note by SBAK chairman, Dr. Pihoto I. Khala and executive secretary, Rev. Mulato Chishi stated that late Rev. Aheto Sema was a faithful servant of the Lord whose commitment towards the Christian ministry had brought transformation in people’s lives and churches were strengthened by his humble leadership skills. SBAK said that the prayers of the Sumi churches were with the family members and also conveyed prayers that God would give his servant eternal rest.
SBC: The Sumi Baptist Convention (SBC) and Ordination Council of SBC in a condolence message by SBC director, Rev. Khehovi Shohe stated that late Rev. Aheto Sema had rendered faithful service in various ministries of Sumi churches including translation adviser at BSI Shillong. SBC stated that Sumi churches in particular and Naga churches in general had lost a committed and dedicated upcoming church leader. The SBC and Ordination Council have conveyed deepest condolences to the bereaved family members and conveyed prayers that his soul rest in peace in the hand of his Maker.
SKK: Sumi Kiphimi Kuqhakulu (SKK) has expressed deep sorrow over the demise of WSBAK youth secretary, Rev. Aheto Sumi.
A condolence note by SKK general secretary, Hutoshe Kits described late Rev. Aheto Sumi as a God fearing man, true servant of God with great inspiration towards Sumi community and Nagas in general; a man who saved many lost souls during his services rendered towards God’s Ministry.
SKK further expressed its deepest condolences for the bereaved family and prayed to Almighty God for their strength and solace.
GPRN/NSCN: GPRN/NSCN through its MIP has expressed shock over the sudden demise of Rev. Aheto Sema, secretary, department of youth ministry, WSBAK.
Describing the late reverend as a true servant of God, GPRN/NSCN said his demise has brought a huge loss to the Sumi community in particular and the Nagas in general.
Further, GPRN/NSCN extended its heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and prayed to Almighty God to grant solace to the departed soul.

AASU: Aqahuto Area Students’ Union (AASU) has expressed deep pain at the demise of Rev. Aheto Sema, WSBAK youth secretary who also served as the president of AASU in the year 1994, 1996. In a condolence message, the union said late Rev. Aheto had a profound impact in the future of the society and his passionate determination and life-long dedication to serve the people would always be remembered. AASU has prayed to the Almighty God to strengthen the bereaved family to bear the irreplaceable loss and for the departed soul to rest in peace.
