Morung and Logdrum at Nutsu village dedicated

The dedication programme of Morung and Logdrum at Nutsu village was held on February 21, with the president, Tikhir Tribal Council, P Timong as special guest. According to a press release, it was informed that the village was established in 2004 and recognized in 2012 and got its first Morung (Atan Qiu) and Logdrum.


The special guest in his speech said that it was the duty of every village authorities to maintain a Morung and Logdrum, which was the unique identity of Tikhir tribe and educational hub enshrined since ancestral period.
At the progamme, the speakers stressed on the importance of maintaining rich culture of the tribe and to maintain peace and unity among the tribe and with others as well.


Short speeches were also delivered by, VCC Anatongre, Y. Pongkiu, president, TAGBA, K. Kiusthong, president, KAGBU, L.Y Tokim, president, TSU, Temong Y Tikhir and VCC Nutsu, S. Pentsu.
