MoS Barla to grace seminar on WP&PP

Union Minister of state for Minority Affairs, John Barla will grace the inaugural programme of the Wholistic Peace & Progress Programme (WP&PP) as chief guest on February 12 at Niathu Resort.
This was informed by president, Nagaland NCC, Rev Dr. Thungdemo at a press conference held at Eastern Bible College (EBC) Dimapur, on Monday.
The seminar will be organised by National Christian Council (NCC) from February 12 to 14 at Niathu Resort and Oasis, Dimapur.
Addressing the media fraternity, Dr. Thungdemo informed that the programme would be wholistic in nature and expressed the hope to bring peace, progress and development in whole India, with primary focus in North East through the programme.
He said the programme would have courses on community health, development, business startups, etc, where successful businessmen from all over the world would be attending to provide insights and understandings in the business sector.
He also added that a “significant” programme in farming would be held in order to bring healing for ground which would produce healing to the land and better and natural vegetation production.
He therefore invited Church leaders, political leaders, tribal leaders and all citizens to attend the programme.
Dr. Thungdemo further informed that those interested to attend the programme will have to register before February 12 through the QR Code that would distributed in social media platforms such as WhatsApp and Facebook.
He maintained that the Union Minister was coming not for political agenda but as a Christian brother to attend the said programme.
Meanwhile, general secretary, NCC, Rev Dr Vangpong Phom, in his address, spoke on the activities and missions of NCC.
He said NCC comprised of 17 wings, which were well established all over India and in other countries.
Meanwhile, NCC informed Church leaders of all denomination to note their grievances to be submitted to the union minister, whereby the minister would act as a spokesperson for all Christians in the parliament.
