MoS celebrates Raksha bandhan with BSF 37bn

The 37 bn BSF celebrated Raksha Bandhan at Bn HQ 37 BN BSF Campus, Chedema, Kohima, on August 29 with minister of State for Railway & Textiles, Darshana Jardosh as special guest.


At the programme, Second-In-Command (OC Rear) 37 Battalion, BSF Surendra Pratap Singh, welcomed the minister and expressed gratitude for celebrating the day with the troops, who were in the line of duties to ensure security and integrity of country 24×7 throughout year.


On the occasion, the minister also planted a sapling at officer Institute and further addressed the troops and motivated them. Later, she tied Rakhi on the hands of BSF personnel followed by distribution of sweets.


AR celebrates Raksha Bandhan
Assam Rifles Public School Students of Kohima initiated a unique method to build a sacred bond with environment by tying rakhis to trees and plants on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan at the school premise.


The students led by their teachers tied rakhis expressing their love and affection towards the trees. The students also took a pledge to protect and conserve the vegetation. A total of 200 including students and teachers participated in the event. The motto of the initiative was to strengthen the bond between man and nature.
