Minister of State for Home Affairs reviews CSS implementation in Nagaland

Minister of State for Home Affairs, Bandi Sanjay Kumar, chaired a review meeting on centrally sponsored schemes (CSS) in Nagaland at the Secretariat Conference Hall, Kohima.

According to DIPR report, the meeting aimed to assess the progress of flagship programs and explore solutions to challenges faced by the implementing departments.


State chief secretary, Dr. J. Alam highlighting key ongoing projects such as four-lane national highways, railway connectivity initiatives, and iconic infrastructure developments. Alam emphasized the importance of such reviews in monitoring and advancing schemes benefiting the state.


The minister, who is on a two-day visit to Nagaland, assured that the challenges and suggestions raised during the meeting would be relayed to the Central Ministry for further action.


Meanwhile, representatives from Kiphire, Zunheboto, and Noklak highlighted the progress and challenges faced by aspirational districts through PowerPoint presentations.

Various CSS implementing departments and aspirational districts also shared their challenges faced during the implementation of the schemes during the meeting.


Home Commissioner Vyasan R., who chaired the meeting, emphasized the unique challenges of the state and acknowledged the efforts of officials in navigating these complexities.
