Union minister of State for Women & Child Development & Ayush, Dr. Munjpara Mahendrabhai on his two-day visit to Phek on January 26 -27, took first-hand information report about the functioning of Centrally Sponsored Schemes (CSS) under his Ministry. A DIPR report informed that the Dr. Mahendrabhai conducted interactive meeting with officers working under his Ministry in the district and State at DPDB Hall, Phek which was chaired by DC Phek, Kuko Mero.
He directed the concerned officers of the projects and schemes that facilities, such as electricity, toilets, wifi, and water supply should be available in Anganwadi and Ayush Health & Wellness Centres, and One Stop Centres.
Concerned officers of the projects/ schemes, Abeiu, District Project Officer (ICPS/Integrated Child Protection Schemes), G. Tsaisa Nyusou, Centre Administrator for Sakhi- One Stop Centre, Povezo Puro District Child Protection Officer, and concerned project officers working under Social Welfare department highlighted their activities at the meeting.
Dr. Bendangtula, Deputy Director, Ayush, also presented a PowerPoint presentation and highlighted activities of the Ayush Hospital in the State. The officers also shared their problems with the MoS and requested for construction of office buildings and for regular funding for smooth functioning of the assigned responsibilities. Dr. Avilie, CMO Phek highlighted the overall status of health sector in the district.
On the second day, Dr. Mahendrabhai inspected Ayush Health & Angawati Centres at Sohomi village, about 17 Kms from Phek.
Dr. Munjpara Mahendrabhai, who is also a cardiologist, visited District Hospital Phek and treated two heart patients, in presence of Medical Surgeon, Dr. T. Ezung. He also conducted a series of interactive meetings with Ayush Doctors, Asha and Angawadi workers at DPDB Hall, Phek and also held discussion meeting with VCCs, VDB secretaries and Village head GBs. Dr. Munjpara Mahendrabhai was accompanied by DC Phek and other officers.
