MOs training on routine immunisation

DIMAPUR: One day refreshers’ training on routine immunisation for Medical Officers (MOs) of Mokokchung and Longleng districts was held on March 22 at Conference Hall, Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Mokokchung office.
A press release by the department stated that CMO Mokokchung Dr. R Chubala Aier while welcoming officials from the department of Health & Family Welfare, Kohima, MOs and facilitators from WHO and UNDP, urged the SMOs and MOs to take the opportunity to interact and address difficulties.
She further stressed on the importance of proper documentation, collection of data, reporting and IEC activities. She envisioned that the training would strengthen and improve routine immunization in the district.
The MOs were trained on strategies to improve routine immunization, national immunization schedule and managing immunization schedule, cold chain and logistics management, AEFI, safety and waste disposal, recording-reporting and using data for action (HMIS, MCTS, SS etc) and communication plan strategies.
The facilitators were DoHFW deputy director, Dr. Rio, SMO WHO, Dr.Sheila, RPO UNDP, Rajesh K Monsang and SPO UNDP, Kingson Kamkara.
