A team from the Ministry of Textiles (MoT) interacted with handicrafts artisans on July 28 at Vamuzo’s Memorial Hall, Chozuba. According to a DIPR report, the event was organised by development commissioner (Handicrafts), Handicrafts Service Centre, Kohima in association with DIC Chozuba. The resource persons included senior assistant director (H), T. Rollee Vareishim, handicrafts promotion officer, Rajib Chandra Roy and general manager, DIC Chozuba, Cholzo Sophie.
During the interaction, schemes for D.C. (handicrafts), distribution of Pahchan ID Card, benefits of the e-commerce platform/GeM portal registration, MUDRA loan scheme, welfare schemes for artisans, benefit of artisan I card (Pahchan), spot enrolment of new artisans for Pahchan ID, GI registration and procedures, Bima Yojana and helpline Centre 1800 208 4800 were highlighted. More than 200 people participated in the training and interaction programme.
