Mother Prema visits Nagaland

Superior General Mother Prema, present successor to St. Mother Teresa of Kolkata arrived in Dimapur on November 30 to visit all the Missionary Sisters of her congregation.
Addressing the gathering she wished that all were brought together in oneness without any distinction of language, culture, race or religion. She said that Mother Teresa of Kolkata lived a life of extraordinary fidelity to Jesus and likewise, may we imbibe God’s will in our life, she added.
Most Rev. Dr. James Thoppil Bishop of Kohima was the main celebrant for the Holy Eucharist celebration on December 1. Fr. C. T Varghese from Don Bosco School and Fr. Thomas Toretkiu joined as concelebrants. Bishop referring to the parable of the builder in Matthew’s gospel said that Jesus taught us that true wisdom came from trusting in Him and His word.
A felicitation programme for Mother Prema was held after the Holy Eucharistic celebration. Zeliang dance from Burma Camp, dance from Adivasi community, choreography and songs by kids were the highlights of the programme. Mother Prema would be staying with the Sisters for two days before proceeding to Tura. She would be visiting all the 27 convents of the Missionaries of Charity (MC).
