The Second Edition of Mr and Miss Gorkha Nagaland 2023 was held during the first Northeast Gorkha Cultural festival on Friday, at Singrijan village, Chumoukedima.
The Motto of the event was, “To promote, and uplift the talent of one’s community”. All together 23 contestants from different districts were competing for the title.
Shibu Chetri from Chumukedima and Simren Bishwakarma from Dimapur district were crowned Mr Gorkha Nagaland 2023 And Miss Gorkha Nagaland respectively during the grand finale.
The 1st runners up title was bagged by Richard Gurung, while Bishal Chetri bagged the 2nd runner up position. 1st runners up for Miss Gorkha Nagaland 2023 was Ajali Pariyar From Kohima and Anita Chetri from Dimapur took home the title of 2nd runners up was.
The Sub contest winners in the various Categories were; best talent (Male): Shibu Chetri, best talent (Female): Lisa Chetri, best personality Male – Siddharth rai, female: Rebecca Sewa, Mr. Photogenic: Rohan BK, Miss photogenic: Simren BK, best walk male: Silas Gurung, female, Twinkle Sherpali, mister popular : Abhishek Rai, Miss popular – Rudvi chetri
Judges for the event included; fashion designer from Nepal Robin Pariyar, choreographer/ fashion coach Sanjeev Tamang, fashion designer from Nepal Jwala Raj Pokharel and Eyilobeni Murry Model/Founder of Moonwind Org. And Pushpa Thatal, Proprietor Raindrops Academy.
