Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) in association with NSIC venture capital fund limited will be organising “BizAmp- Amplifying businesses of Northeast region through SRI Fund” to empower MSMEs of the eight north eastern states for Atmanirbhar Bharat on May 4 at Agri Expo Hall, Dimapur.
Informing this at a press conference, NSIC venture capital fund Ltd chief executive officer Saravana Kumar said that secretary, ministry of MSME, BB Swain will grace the event as chief guest.
Kumar said that the programme aimed at empowering MSMEs from the North Eastern states and amplifying their business utilizing benefits under SRI funds.
He maintained that the government of India, has launched SRI fund with an outlay corpus of Rs. 10, 006 crore, concentrated towards financing an infusion of capital of MSMEs through daughter funds. The SRI fund which is managed by NVCFL, is an Alternative Investment Fund (AFI) providing growth capital to MSMEs through equity/ quasi-equity/ equity-like structured instruments. As on March 31, 2023, the fund has made a capital commitment of Rs. 5, 120 crore to 42 empanelled daughter funds, he added.
The event Bizamp will be attended by MSMEs from across eight North Eastern states and will focus on maximizing capital benefits through NVCFL’s SRI fund and will provide a platform for the empanelled daughter funds to SRI fund to reach the MSMEs in the NE region of India.
