Mangmetong Senso Telongjen Kohima (MSTK) organised a thanksgiving programme in honour of newly promoted Head of Departments, I. Moatemjen Jamir and Dr. B.M. Sunep, at the official residence of Imkong L. Imchen, advisor, IPR & Soil and Water Conservation in Kohima on July 28.
According to DIPR report, I. Moatemjen Jamir promoted to Director of Printing & Stationery, thanked God for his promotion and pledged to work sincerely for the department’s uplift. He acknowledged his family and well-wishers for their support.
Director of Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Services, Dr. B.M. Sunep, shared his life journey and encouraged youth to pursue their interests with confidence. He urged parents to allow children freedom in choosing their career paths and emphasised the importance of seeking God in difficult times.
Advisor Imkong L. Imchen congratulated both the directors and advised them to serve the public with dedication. Reflecting on the past, he recounted the educational challenges in Mangmetong during the Naga Political Struggle of 1955, and noted the progress made since, with the village now producing many scholars and officers.
Imchen also reminded citizens to fulfil their duties and called on students to be sincere in their studies.
Pastor Toshi Imchen of Nagaland Christian Revival Church, Ao Kohima, delivered a sermon encouraging people to build their lives on a strong spiritual foundation.
The programme was chaired by MSTK president, N. Meren Longchar, with a vote of thanks by Timothy Imchen. A song presentation by Mangmetonglar Telongjem Kohima marked the event.
