MTC conducts two-day workshop in Wokha

Sponsored by Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development (RGNIYD), Sriperumbudur, Tamil Nadu, Mt Tiyi College (MTC) Wokha organised a two-day workshop on “skill development for employment in hospitality and tourism industry” from February 9 to 10.

According to DIPR report, the workshop was a debut national seminar the first of its kind in MTC and first in Wokha district which the principal, Dr. ML Ngullie mentioned in his opening remark.

He further added that the workshop itself was a special take away they can all be proud of and for the participants there was a merited pride in attending the programme.

Delivering a short speech, director RGNIYD, Sriperumbudur, Tamil Nadu, professor, Sibnath Deb said that it was a miniature talk on how the workshop itself was an important programme for career growth, a good workshop of employment opportunities for younger generation.

Resource persons for the workshop, Dr. K Zumomo Ovung, Ikavi Zhimomi, Henry Gonmei and M Chumrenthung Ezung enlightened the students with lectures and practical demonstrations on numerous topics related on the theme.

Associate professor MTC, Dr. K Zumomo Ovung also dwelt on “a talk on India’s national policy and sustainable development goals”.

The resource person also informed the students about various courses offered to help them realise as to how new business avenues can be generated and help them understand job opportunities and prospects related to it.

On the second day, registrar RGNIYD, professor Vasanthi delivered online valedictory message, Dr. Merebeni Patton gave concluding remark while associate professor MTC, Sentimenla Jamir delivered vote of thanks.
